GRAND CHUTE, WI - Due to a crazy Midwestern snow storm that expects to drop almost a foot of snow on Fox Cities Stadium, the games between the Snappers and Timber Rattlers scheduled for today and tomorrow have been canceled. The games will be made up as part of doubleheaders both on May 18 and May 19.

Game one of the doubleheader on Wednesday, the 18th will begin at 12:05pm, with game one on Thursday the 19th starting at 5:05pm. The Snappers currently sit with a 7-4 record, one game behind the 8-3 Burlington Bees. The Timber Rattlers are 5-6, three games back.

The two teams did get the first game of the series in last night as the Snappers scored all of their runs in the top of the 9th inning to win 4-2. Every starter in the Snappers line-up had a hit including catcher Kyle Knudson, who finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Lance Ray and Oswaldo Arcia had doubles in the win. Matt Hauser (2-0) picked up the win, pitching a scoreless 1.2 innings and Jose Gonzalez earned his second save of the season with a scoreless 9th.

Manuel Soliman got the no-decision Monday as he pitched five solid innings, striking out seven and allowing two earned runs. His season ERA now sits at 1.80.

Timber Rattlers starter Austin Ross dominated for seven innings, as he held the Snappers to only three hits and struck out eight. Tyler Cravy started the ninth inning for the Rattlers, who were up 2-0 at the time, but only recorded one out and blew his second save of the season as he gave up four hits and two earned runs.

The Snappers continue their road trip tomorrow in Peoria, IL as they take on the Chiefs, a Class-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. They will them come home for a six-game home stand on Monday April 29, starting at 6:30pm at Pohlman Field. Monday is Monster Deal Mondays - 2 GA tickets, 2 hot dogs, 2 sodas, 2 popcorns and 2 adjustable home or retro hats...All for just $22! That's a savings of over $40 thanks to WJVL and WCLO! 12oz drafts of Miller products are just $1.50 courtesy of Ott Schweitzer Distributing.
