Despite a solid outing from Snapper starter Daniel Berlind the Clinton Lumberkings took the series finale Wednesday night at Pohlman Field by a tally of 4-1.

The Lumberkings got on the board in the first on two sac flies that gave the Lumberkings an early 2-0 lead. In the second frame Jake Shaffer doubled home Mario Martinez to extend the lead 3-0.

The Snappers did scratch across a run in the third to cut the lead down to two, but wasn't enough as the Lumberkings took home the victory.

Ramon Santana went 2-for-3 on the night as he raised his batting average to .338. Santana also collected the lone RBI and only extra base hit from the Snappers offense.

Thursday night the Quad Cities River Bandits come to Pohlman Field for a four-game set starting at 7:00pm.
